A week of all-inclusive bliss, and it was just that. Endless buffets, bahama mamas, family time, sunshine and no cell phones. White sand beaches, palm trees and lots of chaise lounge chairs; we often joked that we felt like we were stuck in a Corona commercial. The sun was intense, but the ocean breezes kept us cool and comfortable. Jules took some of her best naps in her fancy umbrella stroller and batted her eyelashes like crazy when another vacationer would come to take a peek at those eyes under her pink, floppy sun hat. We put her toes in the ocean, but it wasn't her favorite. Eventually she came around and tolerated the pool, but still didn't love it. Watching Alex introduce her to this new world and help her explore all these new things made my heart patter. We ate our fair share of chips & guacamole and cooled off in the chilly pool waters more times than I care to count for a few sugary beverages at the swim-up bar. Alex took a long & needed break from studying and we even squeezed in a date night.
As all good vacations do, it went by way too fast. Until next time, beautiful Mexico...
